American Standard’s new Spectra+ collection of showerheads includes an innovative touch-controlled unit with four spray options.

The Spectra+Touch showerhead uses first-to-market touch technology to allow users to switch between four spray patterns with a simple touch. The collection’s Spectra+eTouch model goes one step further to include a mountable, touch-powered remote designed for users who may have trouble reaching the showerhead due to height, age, and mobility. Both the 7-inch showerhead and remote are powered by easy-to-access batteries.

Also included in the collection is the Spectra+ Duo, which combines a 9 ½-inch fixed showerhead and 5-inch multi-function hand shower. The pair provides the widest spray coverage of any two-in-one showerhead, the company claims. The DivertPaddle button switches between combined spray and hand shower only. The hand shower is secured to the fixture with a magnet, and its placement on the showerhead ensures that no tile needs to be broken for installation.

The Spectra+ collection includes three additional options: the Spectra+ Handheld hand shower that is paired with a design-matched slide bar or arm bracket kit; the Spectra+ Rain 11-inch drenching showerhead; and the basic Spectra+ Fixed four-spray showerhead, controlled by an AquaToggle lever.

Each item in the collection can be personalized with four of American Standard’s five spray pattern options, including Drench, Sensitive, Jet, Massage, and PowerWash. The collection’s four finish options are polished chrome, polished nickel, legacy bronze, and brushed nickel.

Homeowners can choose between a 2.5 gallons per minute (gpm) model or a WaterSense-certified 1.8 gpm option for each fixture. The showerheads are meant to compliment American Standard’s Serin line of bathroom sink faucets.
