Tile manufacturer Ann Sacks has added two new looks, Banana Leaf and Provençal, to its Made by Ann Sacks tile series.

Provençal is a complete new collection of tiles that feature a simple form and a color palette inspired by the South of France and the Mediterranean. Tiles have a straight edge detail for a crisp grout line and a slightly textured surface, emphasizing their handmade quality.

The collection is currently available in 14 colors and six field sizes, including 2 inches by 4 inches, 3 inch squares, 3 inches by 8 inches, 4 inch squares, 4 inches by 8 inches, and 6 inch squares. Provençal can be ordered with lead times of two, four, and six weeks depending on color.

Banana Leaf is a new look in the company’s Flash Collection, featuring a leaf pattern on a stand-alone, 8-inch square tile. The three-dimensional pattern aims to “address today’s tastes and yet retain a timelessness,” according to the company. Three new glazes were developed for the collection, including Vert, Basil, and Dusty Rose.

“From time to time certain colors or patterns imprint themselves, that speaks to the moment but also have real staying power,” says DeeDee Gundberg, director of product development & design at Ann Sacks.  “Our new Flash Banana Leaf tile and colorways are a great example of this.”

Both tiles are recommended for vertical interior wall applications, and some colorways are good for wet areas. Provençal can also be used on lightly-trafficked interior floors. Tiles are handmade by artisans in Portland, Ore.
