Grohe has updated its popular Ladylux faucet collection with a new L2 kitchen unit that offers advanced smart features.

“With the latest release in the legendary Ladylux portfolio, the Ladylux L2 Kitchen Faucet Collection, consumers do not have to sacrifice function for beauty,” says the company, part of the Lixil Group. “A new dramatic sleek, minimalist design is combined with advanced features to deliver the efficiency and convenience essential in today’s kitchens in impressive style.”

Grohe, regarded as the originator of the kitchen pull-out faucet, introduced the Ladylux kitchen faucet many years ago, and the product line has been one of its most popular. The SmartControl unit adds technology to the collection.

Offering a minimalist, no-lever design, the faucet allows users to push a button for on/off control and allows adjustment of temperature with with a nob. Available on the Essence, Zedra, and Minta lines, the technology offers a wide range of design options, the company says. Separating the control of flow rate and temperature, it results in a new way of interacting with the faucet is faster and more precise. Users save time and water while having full control right at their finger tips, and users also may use their elbow or the back of their hand to move the on and off push valve to the front of the spout if their hands are dirty or full.

“Ladylux L2 makes everyday kitchen tasks even easier with updated features like magnetic docking for easy, secure retraction, and touch technology to start or stop the flow of water hands-free combined with functionality like triple and dual-spray toggle controls, allowing users to easily switch from regular to shower spray functions,” the company says.

Designed to help homeowners clean in the kitchen, the faucet offers a triple spray function, including a new, forceful Blade spray, which the company says delivers ultimate cleaning performance while using 50 percent less water.

Each faucet is geometrically designed with a wide swivel radius for full sink coverage and uniquely suited to coordinate with an entire kitchen. The thin, cylindrical faucets feature a comfort-height neck to minimize splashing and SpeedClean nozzle to prevent limescale buildup. The Ladylux L2 collection offers pull-down or pull-out spray faucets, prep sink faucet, and a pot filler. They are available in StarLight Chrome and SuperSteel finishes.

Designed to meet the Grohe Zero guarantee, the body of the faucet does not add any lead or nickel into the drinking water because of the inner-water guides. A durable coating maintains cleanliness and a lustrous finish, the company says.

Electronic-enable faucets have been trending in the last 5 to 10 years as more manufacturers find ways to add convenient features such as touch-on, automatic filling, and now even voice-assisted operation through platforms such as Amazon Echo and Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple Home Kit. Products are available from Moen, Delta, Kohler, American Standard, Hansgrohe, Brizo, and many more.
