NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 6, 2020) – LP Building Solutions has expanded its line of smooth finish products with LP SmartSide Smooth Finish Vertical Siding, LP SmartSide Smooth Finish Narrow Trim and LP SmartSide Smooth Finish Cut-to-Width Soffit. Manufactured with engineered wood strand technology, the portfolio additions follow January 2019’s introduction of LP SmartSide Smooth Trim & Siding to provide Advanced Durability for Longer Lasting Beauty in a smooth finish.
“Since its introduction last year, we have seen strong customer interest in our LP SmartSide Smooth Trim & Siding,” said Cameron Bailey, LP SmartSide Senior Brand Manager. “Our Smooth product provides a great look on the side of a house and is able to complement a wide variety of styles and aesthetics. To provide even greater variety, we have expanded our smooth portfolio to include vertical siding, narrow trim and soffit. This will allow us to continue our growth and meet the needs for durable siding with a great modern aesthetic.”
LP SmartSide Smooth Finish Vertical Siding
LP SmartSide Smooth Finish Vertical Siding complements the recently released LP SmartSide Smooth Finish Narrow Trim to offer a durable board and batten aesthetic. Coordinating with LP SmartSide Trim products, the smooth finish vertical siding is pre-primed for exceptional paint adhesion. LP SmartSide Smooth Finish Vertical Siding is offered in 16-foot lengths to reduce horizontal joints and allows for fewer seams, faster installation and less jobsite waste. The new product lets professionals deliver a board and batten aesthetic in a smooth finish while providing the protection of LP’s proprietary SmartGuard® manufacturing process. With four components of protection, the SmartGuard process adds strength and helps LP SmartSide products withstand impacts, damage of freeze/thaw cycles, high humidity, fungal decay and more.
LP SmartSide Smooth Finish Narrow Trim
LP SmartSide Smooth Finish Narrow Trim, available in 440 and 540 series, provides a design accent to boost craftsmanship and overall curb appeal. Available in 2-inch and 3-inch widths, the product allows professionals to achieve unique customization through narrow design details. Backed by an industry-leading 5/50-year limited warranty, the product holds up in extreme weather conditions such as moisture, hail and freeze/thaw cycles. LP SmartSide Smooth Finish Narrow Trim is treated with LP’s SmartGuard process, offered in 16-foot lengths, and comes pre-primed.
LP SmartSide Smooth Finish Cut-to-Width Soffit
LP SmartSide Smooth Finish Cut-to-Width Soffit provides a clean, cohesive look to match other LP SmartSide Smooth Trim & Siding products. For better workability, the product comes in a 16-inch width that helps to eliminate time spent ripping full sheets. Like all LP SmartSide products, LP’s smooth soffit is pre-primed for exceptional paint adhesion. Easy to work with using standard woodworking tools, the product is designed to create an easier jobsite installation. Treated to the core with LP’s proprietary SmartGuard zinc borate-based process and bonded with a water-resistant, resin-saturated overlay, the product provides the same long-term durability and strength against harsh weather as its siding and trim products.
