Power tools manufacturer Ryobi has jumped into the garage door opener category with a new unit offering high-tech features such as Wi-Fi connectivity, park assist, and carbon monoxide alarm.
The company says the opener is a “next-generation” product that's chock-full of upgrades and features that make it one of the most advanced machines in the category.
The unit features a steel-reinforced belt-drive with a 2-horsepower motor that can handle large doors with ease, the company says. In addition, it offers smartphone control, battery backup, motion-controlled overhead LED light, multifunctional wall control, wireless keypad, two remotes, safety sensor, and a downloadable app to control and monitor the door remotely.
But the door opener also offers plug-and-play options that allow homeowners to configure the unit to their liking. The Garage Door Opener Module System accepts Bluetooth speaker, fan, park assist, carbon monoxide alarm, and retractable cord reel.
Available later this year, the product can be found at The Home Depot.
