Western Window Introduces New Line of Single-Hung, Sliding Windows

Sliding and folding glass door products manufacturer Western Window Systems has introduced new single-hung and sliding windows with a design pressure rating tested for commercial projects and modern custom homes.

Sliding and folding glass door products manufacturer Western Window Systems has introduced new single-hung and sliding windows with a design pressure rating tested for commercial projects and modern custom homes.

“The Series 610 and 620 are a new generation of window that enables our custom and commercial partners to be more productive and creative,” says Andrew Darr, vice president of custom sales at the Phoenix-based company. “Plus, they’re available in thermally broken aluminum, which increases energy performance.”

Replacing the Series 100—the company’s previous line of single-hung and sliding windows—the 610 and 620 feature a design pressure (DP) rating that’s tested for the commercial marketplace and has the ability to be glazed on the inside for easy installation.

Both products feature a 4 1/2-inch frame depth and can be directly mulled to most of Western’s other product lines such as its sliding doors.

Series 610 is available up to 48 inches wide and 72 inches tall and comes with spiral balancers “for better adjustability and smoother operation to control the sash in the open position,” the company says.

With a roller modeled after Western’s multi-slide door, the Series 620 sliding window has a double sash option and stainless steel fasteners, and is available up to 96 inches in width and 72 inches in height.
