Dodge
The 2018 Dodge Ram 3500 with a 6.7L Cummins Turbo Diesel engine offers best-in-class max torque of 930 pound-feet, best-in-class fifth-wheel towing capacity of 30,000 pounds, and max diesel towing of 31,210 pounds. The truck is made with a 50,000-psi hydro-formed steel frame with additional cross members for strength and mass efficiency and hydro-formed front and rear rail contours for secure placement of suspension components and mounts, the manufacturer says. Available features include a cargo-view camera, backup camera, LED bed lighting, and front and rear park assist. Six trim packages are available. 

Ford Transit 
The Ford Transit Cargo Van is designed to maximize cargo space for carrying large volumes and heavy payloads, the company says. It has a max towing capacity of 7,500 pounds and payload from 3,020 to 4,650 pounds; ladder rack capacity is 420 pounds. The vans come with a choice of three roof heights, three lengths, and two wheelbases. Three engines are available: a standard 3.7L Ti-VCT V6 engine with 275 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque; a 3.5L EcoBoost V6 with best-in-class maximum gas torque rating of 400 pound-feet; and a direct-injected 3.2L I-5 Power Stroke Turbo Diesel. Configurations include passenger-side 60/40 hinged cargo doors or optional sliding door for Transit low-roof models or a standard passenger-side sliding cargo door or dual sliding doors for medium- and high-roof models. Rear-hinged 50/50 cargo doors swing open 180 degrees on the 130-inch wheelbase model and 237 degrees on the 148-inch wheelbase model.

Chevy
The 2018 Chevy Silverado 3500 HD is available with a Vortec 6.0L V9 engine with 360 hp at 5,400 rpm and 380 pound-feet of torque at 4,200 rpm, or a Duramax 6.6L V8 turbo-diesel engine with 445 hp at 2,800 rpm and 910 pound-feet of torque at 1,600 rpm. The versatile cargo box, accessible via a CornerStep rear bumper and EZ Lift-and-lower tailgate, has two-tiered loading capability and integrated tie-downs. Other features include StabiliTrak stability control with rollover mitigation technology, trailer sway control, and hill start assist; integrated cruise control, auto-grade braking, and diesel exhaust braking for greater control; Digital Steering Assist; and a Driver Alert Package. Regular, Double Cab, and Crew Cab models and single- and dual-rear-wheel configurations are available, as well as four trim packages. New for 2018 are a tire fill alert for the tire pressure monitoring system, rear-view camera standard on models with a cargo box, and a new grille mesh design on the High Country and Z71 models. 

Nissan
The mid-size Nissan Frontier is available with two engine options: a 4.0L DOHC V6 rated engine offering 261 hp and 281 pound-feet of torque or a 2.5L inline 4-cylinder with 152 hp. It offers a towing capacity of up to 6,690 pounds. Features include vehicle dynamic control (VDC), two- or four-wheel brake limited slip, an all-steel double-wishbone front suspension, power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering, anti-lock braking, and a Utili-track cargo system that provides hauling flexibility via a range of attachment points and modular accessories. Cab interiors boast a roomy design, available heated seats, Bluetooth hands-free phone system, color display audio, Siri Eyes Free, rear privacy glass, and under-seat storage boxes. A range of models is available, including four King Cab options and five Crew Cab models, along with five available options packages. Aggressive styling includes an angled strut grille, large bumpers, short front and rear overhangs, and large geometric stamped steel fender flares. The Frontier is also now available in the company’s Midnight Edition, which includes black aluminum-alloy wheels, black grille with dark insert, dark headlights, black fog light finishers, and other black exterior accents.
