Danish faucet brand Damixa has introduced a new minimal line of kitchen and bath faucets as well as three new finishes to the U.S. market.
“Silhouet is a slender and welcoming line of mixers by Danish award-winning design duo, Halskov & Dalsgaard Design,” the company says. “The product line comprises kitchen and basin mixers as well as shower systems with a thermostat, hand shower, and an elegant head shower.”
The goal with Silhouet is to create a series of quality, modern mixers that will last for many years, says Christina Halskov. “The water tap is both a functional utility item and a design element in the modern home,” she says. “Silhouet is our offer for a modern, simple and inviting series of mixers, which are a delight to use in the daily round.”

The small basin mixer features ceramic cartridge, Cold-star, Rub-Clean, and an Eco-Save water saving feature. It’s available in three different heights for use with a tall, tabletop mounted vessel sink.
Silhouet, Damixa says, offers several smart and unique features that make them comfortable for users and saves on water and power: cold start, scalding protection, and rub clean. Cold-start means the unit opens for cold water only when the lever is in starting position, reduces unnecessary consumption of heated water and saves energy; anti-scalding limits the movement of the tap head/lever to prevent accidental selection of full hot water; and the rub-clean feature allows users to remove of lime-scale buildup by rubbing a finger against the surface. The kitchen and basin faucets are also equipped with energy-saving air mixers with a capacity of 8 and 6 liters per minute, respectively.
In addition to the new line, the company has added three new finishes—Matte Black, steel, and brass—in addition to the traditional classic chrome. “The three beautiful finishes provide new opportunities for adding the final touches to your home with a stylish Danish design mixer,” the company says. “The metallic colors have unique PVD surface coating, while the black one has been treated with a practical and extremely durable matte lacquer.”

The company says the new finishes give suppliers, installers, wholesalers, and distributors the opportunity to offer customers even more options for adding a more personal touch to their homes, especially with scratch-proof PVD finishes. The technique produces a metal coating that is anti-soiling, scratch-proof, and non-fade. The Matte Black finish is exceptionally resistant to dirt and fingerprints and will keep its color many years, the company adds.
“Many end-customers would like to have the opportunity to choose among several colors when they install a stylish design mixer in their home,” says Soeren Braae, poduct manager for Damixa. “Silhouet now gives them this option with new finishes in matte black, steel and brass.” Braae adds that the development of the new finishes required extensive work. “Damixa is famous for its Danish design, water-saving functions and products of unrivaled quality. Offering an adjustable height, the Silhouet shower system features Rub-Clean, Scalding protection, and an Adjustable Height. It offers three spray modes, an integrated diverter, and ¾-inch wall plates.
