Italian appliance manufacturer Fulgor Milano has launched two models of barista-level coffee machines meant to blend seamlessly into a kitchen’s design.

These integrated coffee machines fit well into any kitchen or coffee bar, says Fulgor Milano, but it’s meant to work best with the brand’s Sofia Professional and Distinto appliance lines. Design features include stainless steel, black tempered glass, and LED backlit buttons.

Integrated appliances are a hallmark of European design. The fashion-forward continent is known to lead the fashion and design world, and looking toward Europe can be one way to keep up with emerging trends in the U.S., especially in the premium luxury sector where European trends hit first.

“The evolution of the kitchen into the heart of the home has accelerated an emphasis on form,” according to Bertazzoni’s 2021 Kitchen Trend Report. “Recently, this has driven a rise in built-in kitchens with integrated appliances, which place the priority on beautiful form and seamless design.”

And with coffee consumption up 5% in the U.S. since 2015 and espresso drinks growing in popularity by 50% in the same timeframe, according to the National Coffee Association, it’s a highly practical product.
