Gerber Expands With MAP Dual-Flush Toilet

Gerber has added a MaP Premium dual-flush toilet to its high-performance Viper product line.

Woodridge, Ill.-based Gerber has added a MaP Premium dual-flush toilet to its high-performance Viper product line.

Ideal for residential and hospitality applications, the Viper dual-flush is a two-piece toilet that has two buttons on the top of the tank to dictate the flush rate: 0.9 gallon per flush for liquid waste and 1.1 gallons for solid.

The toilet is WaterSense certified, which recognizes high performance as well as a lower flush volume.

“The water savings with this product is exceptional,” says Lovin Saini, senior product manager for Gerber. “Users experience a 19 percent savings over 1.28-gallon models and more than 70 percent over older traditional 3.5-gallon models.”

Gerber adds that the toilet is rated to flush solid waste at over 2.8 times the EPA’s baseline WaterSense specification and that of MaP testing norms, making it MaP Premium rated. MaP scores represent the number of grams of solid waste that a particular toilet can flush and remove completely from the fixture in one flush.

The unit has a MaP score of 1,000, and features a rim pattern for complete bowl rinse with every flush, an ErgoHeight ADA elongated bowl, a 3-inch flush valve, and a multi-point tank-to-bowl mounting system for easy tool-free installation.
