Cabinet component manufacturer Hardware Resources has introduced a new cabinet drawer system with thin steel walls for additional drawer space.
The double-wall steel boxes are built on Dura-Close undermount slides with full extension, soft-close, and can bear a 100-pound load, while a rack-and-pinion operation stabilizes drawers and prevents sag. Drawers feature a ½-inch thin wall with more usable drawer space than a traditional A-frame metal drawer system, the company says.
“Our new metal drawer system allows cabinet makers to add a higher-end, stylish drawer to freshen up any residential kitchen or office environment,” says Travis McElveen, the company’s product manager for functional and commercial hardware. “These drawer systems install almost as easily as standard wooden drawer boxes. Full extension slides combined with effortless opening and silent, soft closing features give the end user a premium experience.”
With frameless and face-frame compatibility, the drawer boxes feature a versatile slate-gray powder-coat finish. Wood fronts can be customized to match any style. Two drawer heights (approximately 3 ½ inches and 7 ¼ inches), and three drawer lengths (15, 18, and 21 inches) are available.
