Universal Infinity Drain

A U.S.-Made drainage solution for all waterproofing methods

Made in the U.S., the Universal Infinity Drain (USQ Series) works with both traditional and modern waterproofing techniques with its drain channel and flanges. The drain comes with a pre-pitched channel with set length, clamping collar, and centered outlet.

“Designed to adhere to both traditional and modern waterproofing techniques, the Universal Infinity Drain's channel allows traditional membranes like vinyl or Chloraloy to be mechanically fastened to the drain channel,” the company says. “Alternatively, modern installation methods that incorporate a bonded waterproofing method like liquid membrane or fabric sheet will adhere to the 1-inch channel flange.”

Compatible waterproofing methods include:

  • Traditional
    •  PVC liners
    • Rubber liners
    • Hot mop treated pans
    • Copper pans
    • Lead pans
    • Fiberglass
  • Contemporary
    • Liquid membranes
    • Fabric sheet membranes

Each drain is composed of a stainless steel grate and a plastic channel. The drains come in two frame styles: one with a square pattern, which comes in both satin and polished stainless steel finishes, and one that features a tile insert that comes in satin stainless steel. Available lengths include 24-inch, 30-inch, 32-inch, 42-inch, 48-inch, 54-inch, and 60-inch drains.

The channels are available in ABS plastic, PVC, or a high-temperature resistant polycarbonate for hot mop applications. Clamping collar heights can come in 0.5-inch or 1-inch heights and can be used face up or face down. The drains’ finished width is 2 1/16 inches, its minimum height above the waterproofing is 1⅙ inches, and its flow rate is 9 gallons per minute. The company notes that the flow rate is measured at the outlet only and does not account for water in the channel or sheeting on shower floor.

"As waterproofing methods continue to evolve from traditional to more time-saving approaches that eliminate steps in the process, we are reflecting that change in the products we develop," Brill says. "We are also helping to revolutionize the next generation of waterproofing with innovative time-saving solutions like our Stainless Steel Shower Base that is ready to tile."

For easy cleaning, the company says users can remove the grate to reach inside the drain and get those tough-to-reach corners. The line launched in early March, and is now available.
