Introducing an Entirely Handleless Collection of Kitchen Appliances

The Miele appliance company has introduced an innovative collection of ovens, steam cookers, and combination units that are completely handle-free.

The Miele appliance company has introduced an innovative collection of ovens, steam cookers, and combination units that are completely handle-free.

Called the ArtLine, the products open when homeowners lightly tap on a hidden sensor that unlocks the door before it gently glides down into the horizontal position.

“Where kitchen and living room meet, there is always a call for elegant, clear, and puristic forms,” says the company’s top designer Andreas Enslin, “and with ArtLine we meet this market need more consistently than any other manufacturer.”

Products feature smooth glass fronts with their integrated displays. The sleek, flush fronts blend in seamlessly with all types of cabinet fronts, the company says.

In addition, the company says the handleless kitchen products can be augmented using models from the current Miele portfolio, which also dispense with handles, switches, and buttons. It includes coffee machines, hob units, warmer drawers, vacuum-sealing drawers, wine storage units, various refrigeration products, and Knock2open dishwashers.

ArtLine products come in brilliant white, obsidian black, and a graphite grey tone.
