Juniper Introduces Innovative Line of Brass Electrical Accessories Inspired By NASA

Lighting manufacturer Juniper Design Studio has introduced a line of brass surface-mounted electrical accessories that draws inspiration from the dials and switches of mid-century NASA mission control rooms.

Lighting manufacturer Juniper Design Studio has introduced a line of brass surface-mounted electrical accessories that draws inspiration from the dials and switches of mid-century NASA mission control rooms.

The collection, Ground Control, features power accessories that include a double USB charger, electrical plug, toggle switch, and dimmer knob.

“Jack packs are by every definition considered to be functional accessories,” says Shant Madjarian, Juniper Design Studio founder and owner. “As a result, they often take on a utilitarian style that typically fails to mesh with products styles. The idea behind Ground Control is to change that method of operation and provide a functional and beautiful control system.”

The accessory collection grants elevated custom capabilities that aim to serve everyday needs with style, the company says. Designed to look like the old-school mission control panels, the products have a tactile element that is unlike the switches and electrical devices of today.

“Pulling design inspiration from key points in history and combining them with the technology of today makes for a system that solves problems but also captures interest with nostalgic details,” Madjarian adds.

Available in satin nickel, raw brass, and black oxide, the pieces in the collection can be custom-mounted on a variety of surfaces close to where homeowners will use them.

Products cost from $110 to $170 and have 12-week lead time.
