KwikPro, now available for preorder on Kickstarter, is an interchangeable tool system that claims to be the power tool version of a “multi-function army knife or pocket multi-tool.”
The cordless tool system, designed by Power Tool Systems, features a unique SlideDrive system that allows different attachments to be slid on and off, changing the tool’s functionality. Attachments include multiple drills, and angle grinder, a reciprocating saw, a jigsaw head, and more. Several different sets of attachments are available.
The 18-volt power set is lightweight and easy to carry via a dedicated transport case. It also comes with a dedicated toolbelt for safe hands-free carrying.
"Shifting loads of power tools in separate cases to different job sites is very inefficient, it wastes time, energy and money, and can also increase the danger of accidents and injuries,” says Robert Fowler, engineer and founder of Power Tool Systems. “KwikPro sets are practical, one-case solutions which make it easy for power tool users to speed-up the time it takes to get the tools they need to and from job-sites without needing to leave them in their vehicles where they can often be vulnerable to theft."
KwikPro backers who endorse the product up to at least $200 can expect to see their tool set by February 2020.
