A Manufacturer Uses 800-Year-Old Wood for New Cabinet Line

Seeking a stand-out material for its new line of products, Italian cabinet brand Toncelli turned to an 800-year-old Serbian beechwood whose well-seasoned personality will resist water absorption and abrasion, the company says.  The wood is being used for the company's Essence line. While the fossil beechwood makes up the majority of the kitchen, titanium steel is used for the cooking surface.
