Window giant Marvin has added an automatic control feature to its popular Ultimate sliding door, allowing homeowners to operate the door from a wall switch or via remote control.
The company says the Sliding Door Automatic Control answers the need for large doors that can be opened and closed from a distance. It’s available on all four Ultimate Multi-Slide Door configuration options: bi-parting pocket, bi-parting stacked, uni-directional pocket, and uni-directional stacked.
“Homeowners are looking for beautifully-designed, expansive doors as well as the convenience that automation offers,” Christine Marvin, director of marketing at Marvin Windows and Doors, said in a statement. “They desire an easy way to open up a home to the outdoors. This solution marries the classic craftsmanship of our Ultimate Multi-Slide Door with cutting-edge automation technology.”
The company says the SDAC Ultimate Multi-Slide Door option is factory prepped for easy installation. It runs off of a 100-volt motor system and has a battery-powered wireless motion sensor for safety. Optional interior wall switch colors are white, ivory, almond, and black.
The Ultimate Multi-Slide Door features narrow stiles and rails, a flush sill, and multi-point locks. Various insulated glass packages are available.
