MTI has introduced two new pedestal sinks designed to take up less room in cramped residential bathrooms.
The Petra and Halo sinks both feature minimalist designs with clean lines and simple shapes. The Petra is a 36-inch-tall square column with accommodation for a deck-mounted faucet. The Halo is a cylinder with a circular basin and is also 36 inches tall. It is compatible with both freestanding and wall mounted faucets.
Despite their small footprint, both sinks offer a large amount of usable space— the Petra’s square surface is 19 inches by 16.5 inches, and the circular Halo has a diameter of 18 inches. Both are made from MTI’s SculptureStone, which is hand-finished and made of mostly organic materials that are durable and easy to clean.
“The market demands both form and function, especially in smaller bathrooms where there isn’t space to spare,” says Michael Kornowa, director of marketing for MTI Baths. “The fact that [Petra and Halo] are space-friendly is an added benefit allowing great design flexibility.”
