Royal Building Products has launched a new online design tool that provides professionals (and homeowners) with ideas and inspiration for choosing the right trim option based on the style of their home.
The Trim Visualizer is loaded with the most popular home styles, including Modern, Cape Cod, Colonial, Craftsman, Farmhouse, and Eclectic. Each home features two different decorative window and door surround options with style notes and descriptions that help users create a cohesive exterior design.
“Trim is a crucial part of the overall design of a home, and it is often overlooked,” says Kriss Swint, director of interactive strategy and design for Royal Building Products. “We created the Trim Visualizer as a way to educate homeowners about the benefits of adding trim to their home all while taking the guesswork out of the design process.”
Homeowners are able to download and share their design with their contractor or architect, and it also provides the trade professional with the component specs necessary for each installation.
Royal, a manufacturer of home exterior products, says it launched its fifth design tool after its 2015 Outdoor Design Survey revealed that 60 percent of respondents would feel more confident in their exterior selections if they were using an online tool that instantly allowed them to see how their home might look with various accents.
