Kohler Generators has introduced a new 30-kilowatt standby generator that the company says is targeted at large custom homes and small businesses.
The company says the new generator addresses the increased demand for residential generators of this size.
Designed to quickly restore power following an outage, the 30RCL features a 1,800-rpm liquid-cooled engine and noise-reduction technology that keeps sound levels to a minimum.
“The 30RCL really represents a sweet spot within our existing lineup of automatic backup generators,” Melanie Tydrich, senior channel manager for Kohler Generators, says. “It’s an ideal size for today’s larger homes, and we anticipate homeowners responding strongly to the combination of power and quiet operation that this new model offers.”
According to the company, the 30RCL will power major appliances and systems such as HVAC, lights, refrigerators, sump pumps, and security systems in the event of a power outage. Powered by liquid propane or natural gas, it runs at 62 decibels during normal operation and 54 decibels during weekly exercise.
