Niagara Reveals Toilet Lines Aimed at Relieving Installation Headaches

Toilet manufacturer Niagara debuted four new toilet collections made to address the common installation pain points facing builders, remodelers, and plumbing professionals.

Two years ago, Niagara began accepting feedback from residential professionals to inform the company’s next product line. What resulted are the four new collections: Liberty, Sabre, Shadow, and Barron.

“With continued growth in new housing construction and remodeling, we’ve taken the time to listen closely to the building pros who install, repair, and specify toilets – including plumbers, plumbing engineers, builders, service plumbers, contractors, and architects – to learn what details are important to them when installing toilets in homes,” says Jeff Pratt, vice president of sales at Niagara. “Using that knowledge, we have developed a full lineup of products for pros to choose from that not only delivers advanced technology but powerful performance and easy installation.”

The company discovered three main takeaways from the feedback: residential pros disliked complicated installations resulting from changing toilet footprints in remodels, time consumption when assembling toilets, and varying instructions for installations. Overall, residential pros disliked wasted time, the Niagara team told PRODUCTS.

To combat those headaches, Niagara’s latest lines feature increased toilet footprints so no retiling is needed; a pre-installed tank that only requires screwing on brass bolts to connect the tank to the bowl, resulting in less waste and time spent; and a 15-year warranty on all toilets.

In addition to those features, the toilets also offer four refreshed designs, a range of price points, and WaterSense certifications. Niagara says water conservation is the company’s utmost priority. New design features include white zinc handles for flexible design, thinner tanks, and sharper lines.

Features that most appeal to consumers, according to the Niagara team, include water conservation, Stealth technology, and the 15-year warranty. Typically, renovations happen between 15 to 20 years, which matches Niagara’s warranties, ensuring no toilet will need replacement before then.

This launch adds more than 100 toilet options to Niagara’s product line: each product line offers options for different seats, heights, flush volumes, flush techniques, and handle orientation. The Niagara team says this launch offers a toilet for any application.

Liberty is the cost-effective, entry-level toilet line available in round and elongated bowls offering 1.28 gallons per flush volume.

Sabre features Niagara’s patented Stealth Technology that uses less water (1.1 and 1.28 gallons per flush) but creates a more effective flush due to a vacuum-assist technology.

Shadow also includes Stealth Technology and is offered in 0.8 and 1.28 gallons per flush. According to the company, this toilet design works well for multifamily residential and hospitality applications in addition to residential.

The Barron line is the first product of Niagara’s fit for light commercial use in retail, office, gym, and healthcare settings. It’s offered in 1.0 and 1.28 gallons per flush.

Residential pros can pre-order the new lines through wholesalers in May.
