Heating and cooling product manufacturer Rheem has developed a smart, voice-controlled thermostat to pair with its EcoNet-enabled heating and cooling products.

The EcoNet Smart Thermostat’s full-color glass touch screen includes features such as local weather information, one-touch away mode, adjustable scheduling, motion activation, and integrated Wi-Fi. It can also be controlled via a smartphone app or through voice-controls with Amazon Alexa.

When paired with Rheem’s EcoNet smart heating, cooling and water heating equipment, the thermostat can deliver routine maintenance reminders and critical service alerts with with diagnostic details for service professionals. It is the only thermostat “in the industry that can control a home’s heating, cooling and water heating systems together,” the manufacturer claims.

For easy wall mounting, the EcoNet Smart Thermostat features an integrated bubble level and tool-free wire terminals. Once installed, the thermostat automatically connects with all enabled Rheem equipment and configures itself for the optimal performance.

“There is so much innovation and intelligence built into this thermostat; it delivers a great user experience–from installation to day-to-day control,” says Nitish Singh, vice president of product and marketing at Rheem. “And adding voice control with Amazon Alexa is a huge benefit for homeowners who can now enjoy simple, hands-free control of their thermostat.”

The thermostat is compatible with the full line of EcoNet-enabled products, including furnaces, air conditioners, and water heaters. All EcoNet products feature smart technology that allow them to be managed for greater efficiency and energy savings.
