Simpson Door Company Introduces Dog Door Collection

Simpson’s dog doors make it possible to create personalized living spaces that are uniquely suited to the needs of the 90 million Americans who own a pet.

MCCLEARY, Wash — Simpson Door Company, a leading custom wood door manufacturer, is combining two of our great loves in life—the love for our home and the love for our pets—with the introduction of its dog door collection. As the precarious housing market drives many towards renovations on their current home, the dog doors are pre-installed in a Simpson door on the factory floor for a precise, airtight fit. The result is a custom-made design solution that can accommodate any doorway and any dog (no matter its size) while maintaining design continuity with the rest of the house.

Simpson’s dog doors are made with heavy-duty aluminum frames and shatter-resistant K9 composite saloon-style panels. Each panel features high-density industrial weatherseal to help mitigate air conditioning and heat loss. To accommodate pooches of all sizes, Simpson’s latest offering is available in three sizes, including medium (up to 40 pounds), large (up to 100 pounds) and XL (up to 220 pounds). Customers can choose from three finishes, including white, silver and bronze, ensuring the dog door can visually match other elements in the room, such as hardware and appliances. For peace of mind, every dog door comes standard with a lock, key and 20-gauge steel plate.

Simpson’s newest offering is currently featured in the 49971 Contemporary and 7008 Thermal Sash door styles. To meet continued demand for personalization, these door styles can be customized by size, wood species, glass type and profile, making it possible to accommodate a range of desired design aesthetics and budgets. To protect their Simpson dog door, customers can choose from optional UltraBlock® or WaterBarrier® technologies for improved performance and a lasting beautiful appearance.

“With customers collectively focusing on remodeling projects, many are recognizing that doors can add one-of-a-kind personality while improving the usability of a room,” said Brad Loveless, marketing and product development manager for Simpson Door Company. “Simpson’s dog doors make it possible to create personalized living spaces that are uniquely suited to the needs of the 90 million Americans who own a pet. With this collection, it’s easy to bring style and functionality into a home without compromising the superior craftsmanship that customers have come to expect of a Simpson wood door.”
