Pastel color and semi-circle design fit for a trendy accent wall or shower install

TileBar collaborated with Stacy Garcia to create a contemporary-yet-timeless pastel tile collection, Maddox, that achieves a clean look while adding a pop of color.

“After previous successes, we are excited to once again work with Stacy, a known leader and trendsetter in the industry” says Eli Mechlovitz, founder and CEO of TileBar. “We wanted to ensure this collection was a departure from previous collaborations, one infused with color, pattern and playful spirit.”

By using a palette with both vibrant pastels and muted neutrals, Garcia, founder of design firm Stacy Garcia, Inc., says the tiles are designed to be striking but not overpowering so they can complement bold design choices, such as a knock-out light installation.

“The inspiration behind the collection came from a highly graphic textile pattern, layered into a really fun geometric pattern,” Garcia says. “I wanted to recreate this idea in tile with colors that were on trend but soft enough to really be usable in any space.”

Pastel colors include azul, mineral green, and deco coral while the neutrals come in warm gray, cool gray, wheat, black, and white. By using an intense matte finish, Garcia says that tiles have a suede-like texture.

The porcelain tile collection includes framed and flat field 4-by-8-inch tiles. But the centerpiece of the collection is the line of 8-by-8-inch pieces adorned with a semi-circle design that can be arranged to make “floral blooms on the floor of your space by laying the tiles in a tulip shape or create a modern interior landscape by laying the tiles in a series of full circles,” according to the company. The semi-circle tiles come in different pastel colors paired with a complementary gray. All tiles are all 12 mm thick. With its mix-and-match potential, designers can use the tiles to create a unique look suited for their indoor or outdoor project, whether it is a backsplash, full shower install, or accent wall.

“It’s a pattern designer’s candy store,” Garcia says. “There is so much flexibility and versatility in this collection.”
