Victoria + Albert Introduces New Washstand Design

Victoria and Albert Drayton bathtub and Metallo 100 washstand

Metallo 100 washstand and Drayton tub

Luxury bathroom product manufacturer Victoria + Albert has introduced a new open-design washstand category with two models.

The new category includes the Candella and Metallo collections of washstands. Both looks feature brass legs with a polished chrome finish and basin tops made of the manufacturer’s Englishcast limestone composite. They were created in collaboration with the designers at Meneghello Paolelli Associati.

“We are proud to have developed a range of products that work in a wide range of contexts,” the Italian design firm said in a statement. “Perfectly balanced between past and present, tradition and innovation, reinterpretation and modernity, the Candella and Metallo washstands represent a combination of classic shapes and contemporary design.”

Candella washstands feature elegantly curved legs and a toughened glass storage shelf, while the Metallo legs are inspired by traditional pipework and include a brass shelf.

Both washstands come in two sizes: the 114 models are 45 ⅛ inches wide and topped with Victoria + Albert’s Mandello 114 Solo basin, while 100 models are 39 ⅜ inches wide and feature the Lario 100 Solo basin.

The Madello collection also comes in two quartz-topped options, including a 44 ¼-inch width and a 24-inch width. The sizes come with the manufacturer’s Rossendale 91 and Kaali 46 basins, respectively, and the choice of white, black, or biscuit surfacing.

All washstands are available with zero, one, or three faucet holes for design flexibility. Adjustable screws on the washstand legs allow for easy levelling.
