Video: Bostitch Debuts Cordless Nailers Through Lowe's Partnership

Bostitch, a tool brand of Stanley Black & Decker, has released four cordless nailers sold exclusively at Lowe's Home Improvement locations.

All four of the nailers operate using a battery, eliminating the need for a hose and compressor, says Randy Schultz, a retail sales representative for Stanley Black & Decker.

Schultz demonstrated the tools for the PRODUCTS magazine team at the 2018 International Builders' Show, pointing out a new technology that allows the user to easily switch between bump and sequential nailing modes.

The four new cordless nailers include a framing nailer, brad nailer, and two finish nailers.

Watch the nailers in action in the video above.

Today we're here supporting the Loews booth exclusively on those we retail Bostitch cordless nailers this is our efforts at eliminating the need for a hose and the compressor for our end-users these operate on a cordless battery to go from bump feet to sequential feed we have integrated a switch into our tool to make it easier for our customers so the first first tool we have here is the framing nailer this will give you approximately 750 shots per charge that fires two inch nails two three and a half inch nails first of all I'll demo this tool in sequential mode so you'll follow a sequence where you depress the nose piece you hear the flywheel actuate and then you can fire the nail now we'll go to bump which will allow you to hold the trigger and fire more than one nail at a time the smaller more compact nailers these are ideal for trim work and punch out lists or really anything where again you want to eliminate the need for a cord these three nailers over here operate with a brushless motor when you eliminate the brushes you have a much cooler running motor that gives you a longer runtime so the first one we talked about here is the 18 gauge brad nailer this fires 5/8 to two and 1/8 nails 18 gauge Brad's we have two types of finish nailers we have a 16 gauge straight nailer the fires 5/8 for 2 and 1/8 and then our angled 15 gauge finish nailer this fires introduc order to two and a half inch finished now.
