Viewrail has introduced a swinging gate to match both its rod and cable railing options for decks and staircases.

Railing gates are made from marine-grade 2205 duplex stainless steel with an ⅜-inch rod railing infill. They pair with Viewrail latches, which are made of a strong polymer that won’t rust, bind, or stain, the company says. Coordinating hinges are self-closing and tension-adjustable.

“These gates are the perfect complement to any modern deck or railing project,” ViewRail says  in a statement. “They continue the innovative look of rod and cable railing by utilizing the same horizontal lines in their infill. There is no longer any need to buy outdated wooden or composite gates.”

The railing gates come with the option of a universal top bracket, which attaches railing a few inches above the door frame, or a domeless style, where the gate extends all the way to the height of the surrounding railing. Gates can be powder coated in a variety of colors and finishes.

Railing gates come preassembled, but hinges and latches must be attached on the jobsite. They can be specified in heights from 36 inches to 42 inches and widths between 36 and 48 inches, but widths over 42 inches require a heavy-duty hinge set.
