Appliances manufacturer Whirlpool Corp. has introduced a new line of products designed for and multifamily buildings and small single-family homes.
The company says the appliances offer full-size features and premium performance, and will help transform the way the rental housing industry designs, builds, and renovates its buildings.
“People who reside in a smaller space don’t have to sacrifice style or performance—especially when it comes to apartment living,” says Kelly Safis, general manager for builder sales at Whirlpool. “Building industry professionals can count on the Whirlpool brand small spaces appliance suite to exceed renters’ needs and fit perfectly into nearly any space.”
The small spaces appliance suite includes all the appliances for a full-service kitchen:
A 24-inch bottom-freezer refrigerator that offers a sleek design and flexible storage, such as the infinity slide shelf and Flexi-Slide bins to fit and organize foods and drinks. The company says it also offers TotalCoverage cooling that reaches every corner of the unit.
The 24-inch electric ceramic glass cooktop is designed to make the most of a kitchen space. It offers the flexibility of four burners of varying size and power and a sleek, frameless design that creates a modern space. The unit comes with a FlexHeat dual radiant element.
Measuring 18 inches wide, the dishwasher offers a stainless steel tub and space for eight full place settings. “This model packs just as much cleaning power as larger ones, thanks to a separate spray arm in each rack and a Sensor cycle that provides the right settings for each load,” the company says.
The front-load laundry poair includes a 4.3-cubic-foot washer and a 7.4-cubic-foot electric dryer. Designed to provide a closet-depth fit, it allows for more flexible installation, the company says. The Energy Star-certified units also feature Intuitive Controls to help take the guesswork out of laundry, the company says.
Whirlpool says the collection also incudes a microwave, wall oven, and a freezer.
