The 20-volt MaxLithium Switchdriver from WORX features a rotating head equipped with two ¼-inch chucks that can be loaded with different combinations of bits. It allows users to drill a pilot hole and then rotate the head and sink the screw with a driver bit.
“Switchdriver is a great idea whose time has come as a user-friendly and durable cordless drill/driver,” Jeanne White, WORX senior product manager, says.
The two chucks rotate 180 degrees clockwise or counterclockwise with the push of a red button located just above the trigger. Each chuck accepts standard hex-shaped bits.
Powered by a lithium-ion battery with a five-hour recharge time, the drill/driver features an 11-position clutch, a two-speed gearbox, maximum torque of 265 inch-pounds, and an LED light. It weighs 3 pounds.
The Switchdriver is priced at $99.99 and is available at worx.com
