13 Products to See at the 2020 Kitchen and Bath Show

Design & Construction Week 2020 is just around the corner, promising informative educational sessions, cool new products, and innovative building materials. We found 13 kitchen and bath products you have to see.

A one-stop shop for both the International Builders' Show (IBS) and the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS), Design & Construction Week (DCW) is the co-located shows for the home construction and the remodeling industries. Hosted by the National Association of Home Builders and the National Kitchen and Bath Association, the show is expected to see more than 80,000 design and construction professionals for three days of networking, education, and exhibits.

As one of the largest events in the industry each year, the show brings together more than 1,500 manufacturers and suppliers and offers a week of networking, education, and, of course, new and innovative products, such as cabinets, countertops, faucets, appliances, and much, much more.

Here are 13 new introductions you should put on your list.

 

Emser Tile

Rhythm is a new glazed porcelain product from Emser Tile. Offering a geometric shape and matte and polished surface, the tiles measure 11 inches by 13 inches and come with in a black or white plain hex design or in a black or white deco hex.

 

Fisher & Paykel

The 48-inch dual-fuel professional range expands the brand’s range offerings. Offering a hybrid induction and gas rangetop and generous oven capacity, the unit is designed with function and large-scale culinary preparation in mind, the company says. It has metal illuminated dials, high-resolution touch display, two 11-function electronic ovens, and nine induction heat settings through its five dual flow burners. The appliance also incorporates self-cleaning with pyrolytic ladders in the main oven. 

 

Toto USA

The RW Washlet + Wall-Hung Toilet is the brand’s newest introduction. Offering auto open/close and auto-flush, the unit also features the brand’s Clean Synergy Premist to prevent waste from adhering to the bowl; Cefiontect to repel matter, mold and mildew from the bowl’s surface; and Dynamax Tornado Flushing to create 360 degrees of cleaning power to reach and cleanse the entire bowl and rim with every flush, the company says.

 

Infinity Drain

The manufacturer says its custom stainless steel shower base is a game-changer. It’s intended for commercial bathrooms, but the product could easily be adapted for use on a custom home or high-end multifamily project. Guaranteed for life against waterproofing failure, the base dramatically reduces the amount of time required to install a new bathroom shower and decreases the need for trade coordination. It comes pre-sloped, ready to tile, and requires no additional waterproofing.

 

Bt45 and Cosentino

The German kitchen manufacturer has teamed up with Cosentino to offer a new line of cabinet door fronts made from with 4 millimeter Dekton ultra-compact surfacing. Made from Dekton Slim, the door fronts are environmentally friendly and will resist scratches and marks. The new introduction, the brand says, is for kitchen designers who struggled for a long time to find a way to match the countertop and cabinets. Various colors are available.

 

True Residential

Born out of a growing demand for beverage storage, the manufacturer has added a 30-inch glass door beverage center column to its full-sized refrigeration line up. The columns feature the brand’s antibacterial 300-series stainless steel (inside and outside) and offer ramp-up interior LED lighting and intuitive controls. It’s equipped to eliminate bottle spills and has a pull-out basket at the base to fit the tallest of bottles. The columns are available in the brand’s Build Your True Collection of unique custom finishes and hardware options.

 

 

Forza

The brand’s radically designed gas ranges are offered in 30-inch or 36-inch models and seven color options. Each range features Forza’s proprietary Infinito Grate System—the largest continuous usable cooking surface with edge-to-edge cast iron grates and integrated bull nose, the company says. The units have the industry’s widest oven cavity with up to 6 cubic feet of usable oven space capable of fitting commercial size cooking trays the company claims.

 

Thor Kitchen

The brand’s first oven offering, the 24-inch Combi Steam Oven includes two oven racks, one telescope rack and a baking pan and features a black glass door with soft-close hinge. It has a 7-inch colored touch panel that allows for easy customization and control of cook settings, while the blue-enamel oven interior is resistant to high temperatures, easy to clean, and boasts a 2.16-cubic-foot cavity. The product features four cooking modes including Gourmet Recipe, Steam Assist Cook, Guided Cooking, and True Convection.

 

Axor by Hansgrohe

Designed by Jean-Marie Massaud, Axor Edge is a new collection that was inspired by cubes and features asymmetrical lines and edges. The company uses a state-of-the art diamond cutting system that is widely in the aerospace and aeronautics industries to achieve the precise contours and grooves of the bath faucets and tub fillers. Pieces can be customized on request with one of the exclusive shiny surfaces, including polished black chrome or polished gold optic.

 

Bertazzoni

The Italian brand has updated its Heritage Series with the launch of its Collezione Metalli, a new program that allows consumers to add style accents to the suite of appliances. Available in real Gold, Copper, and Black Nickel coating, the Heritage Décor Sets provide beautiful knobs and finials to the Heritage Series ranges as well as the matching range hoods, which are available in Ivory, Matte Black, and Stainless Steel finishes. The Décor Sets are offered as a kit of components that the homeowner can apply to the Heritage products during or after appliance installation.

 

Task Lighting by Hardware Resources

TandemLED with WAV Smart Control is a unique two-wire lighting technology that gives the user the ability to select any White Kelvin Temperature between 2700K-5000K using the industry standard low-voltage single color installation method. It can be controlled via wireless RF remote, with Voice, an app through Alexa, Google Assistant, Apple HomeKit, and any Zigbee compatible hub. The manufacturer says homeowners may use WAV to make existing LED installations smart home connected or use the TandemLED Tape and Pucks for full white color temperature adjustable lighting.

 

Kalamazoo Outdoor Gourmet

Developed on the principles of kamado-style cooking, the Shokunin features 2 inches of insulation beneath its stainless steel exterior and has an expanded depth of the cooking chamber so fires can be built further from the food for more gentle heat. The rectangular shape makes it easier to cook with multi-zone fires, and an adjustable system of fire grates enables users to build the fire at three different levels.

 

Native Trails

Crafted by Italian artisans, the debut Murano Collection of glass vessel sinks is a new material for the brand. The colors and patterns of the Murano Collection are created in the molding and spinning process, and each glass vessel sink is expertly hand-formed, giving each piece its own personality. Five design are available—Beachcomber, Abyss, Bianco, Shoreline, and Abalone.
