84 Lumber, the privately held building materials supplier, is set to establish a new office in Phoenix, Ariz., and plans to open at least a dozen new stores and manufacturing facilities in the Western United States within the next year and a half.

“We are taking the steps needed to seize the growth opportunities we’ve identified in the Western markets,” says Frank Cicero, COO of the company. “By establishing an Arizona headquarters, we are putting the right people and systems in place to successfully execute our aggressive expansion plans over the next two years.”

84 Lumber, which recently launch a new line of tiny custom homes, says the new Phoenix office will give existing and new stores in the region greater access to 84 Lumber services and support. The expansion will nearly double the company’s footprint in the West, where the company already operates 19 stores across Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, and Texas.
