New Sherwin-Williams Deck Stain Reduces Surface Temperature 20 Degrees

Sherwin-Williams SuperDeck Can

Paints and coatings manufacturer Sherwin-Williams has developed a deck stain additive that allows its SuperDeck Solid Color Stain to reduce the surface temperatures of decking by up to 20 degrees Fahrenheit.

Now featuring Cool Feel technology, the SuperDeck line helps to create long-lasting stain results, while also adding a cooling feature to deck boards.

“This innovation keeps decks cooler for homeowners and their guests, making these spaces even more enjoyable,” says Steve Revnew, senior vice president of product innovation at Sherwin-Williams. “SuperDeck Solid Color Stain is perfect for spring deck refinishing projects.”

Available in 20 colors, SuperDeck offers protection for new, weathered, or previously stained wood and can be applied on most composites, the manufacturer says. “The scuff resistant stain can be applied to damp surfaces, allowing them to be prepped and stained in one day, saving time and money.”

The product is available at Sherwin-Williams stores nationwide.
