Citing a lack of high-performance workwear in the construction industry, Norway-based Helly Hansen has released a new line of stylish on-the-job clothing that it says keeps workers comfortable.
“Typical workwear is about as boring as it gets,” says Filip Francke, vice president and U.S. general manager of Helly Hansen. “Helly Hansen is offering American workers something different that looks better without being ridiculous and performs better in the field. The professional-grade collection helps workers stay and feel alive on the job so they can have a better life at home."
According the company, if you’re more comfortable on the job, you’ll perform at the top of your game. The company points to its flagship collection, Chelsea, which consists of jackets, pants, technical tees, and vests. Products feature reinforced seams and ingenious functional features, the company says.
For example, the Chelsea construction pant is made from lightweight cotton/poly blend with reinforced nylon. It has slots for kneepads and built-in tool holsters that can be tucked away in the front pockets. The complementary Chelsea jacket also features the same cotton/poly blend and has nylon reinforcements on the shoulders, elbows, cuffs, and hem.
Other products include tradesman apparel, a HI-VIZ series, insulated jackets, and rainwear.
The products are available for purchase through local retailers and online dealers, including Amazon, Work ‘N Gear, and West Marine.
